ROBERT D DAY Robert owned 200 acres of land on Little River in Washington County, Georgia. He and wife, Elizabeth, sold it to John Nelson of Wilkes County on September 5, 1788. Original grant to Robert on February 13, 1784. A Jonathan Adams became the neighbor of Robert and Elizabeth. He purchased land in Washington County bounded by Robert Day and on the east by Shoulderbone Creek. (12-15-1786) Greene co., GA DB B, p. 155. Robert is listed as a member of the Long Creek Church of Washington County, Georgia. This is what she had to write regarding Robert Day, Sr. and Elizabeth Adams. 1752 Robert Day was in Augusta Co. Virginia 1755 in Anson County, N.C. Militia 1762 land grant of 200 acres Craven County, SC Sept. 1773 applied to settle in St. Paul Parish, Wilkes Co. with wife Elizabeth and 2 sons and 4 daughters, age 2 to 20 years old. 1780 moved to Richmond Co. Georgia Sept 1788 Sold out in Wilkes County, Georgia, USA and went to Washington Co., Georgia, USA 1805 Land lottery- Robert Sr. had died but wife Elizabeth drew 202 1/2 acres lottery #326 District II- 20 Baldwin Co. Georgia, USA 1820 Elizabeth was in Walton Co. Georgia 1830 Elizbeth she was dead 1810 Amite County Census for Mississippi In 1810, Robert D. ROBERT D DAY JR 1784, Sept. 30th, Robert received a land grant for military service of 287-1/2 acres in Washington Co., GA. It was recorded in Greene Co., GA Deed Book 1, Page 246. 1785, Robert is listed on tax list of Capt. Hagan's district for one poll. Robert and wife, Fanny of Wilkes County, Georgia sold 287-1/2 acres in Washington County, Georgia to James Adams on November 5, 1785. Original grant to Robert on September 30, 1784. Recorded in Greene County, Georgia deed book 1, page 246. This land was a bounty grant given to soldiers who served in the Continental Army under the act of legislature passed in 1784. 1785, Nov. 5th, Robert and wife, Fanny, of Wilkes County, GA sold the above 298-1/2 acres in Washington Co., GA to James Adams. 1786, Aug. 11th, Robert and Fannie sold land in Washington Co. to James Adams of Greene Co. 287-1/2 acres. Robert and wife, Fanny, were dismissed by letter from the Phillips Mill Baptist Church of Wilkes County, Georgia on September 6, 1785.
